Editing campaigns

Who can use this feature?

Anyone with access to edit your website's content in Umbraco.

A campaign is an appeal, with a page that introduces it and a grid of its offerings. You edit a campaign — its details and its page — in your site's content tree, under Platforms → Campaigns. When you publish, N3O rebuilds the public page and serves it at /donate/<campaign>; nothing changes on the live site until you do.

To edit a campaign, open Platforms → Campaigns in the content tree and choose the campaign. Its settings are split across tabs; the two you will use most are General and Page.

On the General tab you set the campaign's essentials:

  1. The name, which also sets the campaign's web address.
  2. A target, if the appeal has one.
  3. The image, summary and description used wherever the campaign is listed.

On the Page tab you build the page a donor sees:

  1. Set the Hero image — the picture that heads the page (1920 × 1080).
  2. Write the Content — the blurb and blocks that make up the page, in the left column.
  3. Add anything full width below under Additional content, if you need it.
  4. Click Save and publish. The page is rebuilt and appears at /donate/<campaign>.
Back officeThe campaign's Page tab: a hero image, and the content blocks that build the page a donor sees.

What you put on the page is up to you. The hero, a donation form and the offerings grid are what we recommend, but you can arrange them and add your own content around them. That choice is explained in Campaigns and offerings.

note

The tab and field names above are typical of an N3O-built site; yours may differ slightly. If you are unsure which field does what, your N3O contact can point you to the right one.

Offerings are edited beneath the campaign — see Editing offerings.
