Editing offerings

Who can use this feature?

Anyone with access to edit your website's content in Umbraco.

An offering is one way to give within a campaign. Offerings live beneath their campaign, under Platforms → Campaigns → <campaign>. Each has its own page and its own donation form.

To edit an offering, open the campaign in the content tree and choose the offering beneath it. Its settings are split across tabs.

On the General tab:

  1. Choose the donation item the offering collects towards.
  2. Add an image, summary and description for where the offering is listed.
  3. Turn on Allow crowdfunding if supporters should be able to raise money towards this offering. This makes the offering eligible as a crowdfunding goal; it does not by itself turn crowdfunding on (see Turning on crowdfunding).
Back officeThe offering's General tab: the donation item, and the Allow crowdfunding switch.

On the Suggestions tab you set the donation form's amounts:

  1. Choose the suggested gift type, if you use gift types.
  2. Set the one-time suggested amounts — the quick buttons for a single gift.
  3. Set the recurring suggested amounts — the buttons for monthly giving.
Back officeThe offering's Suggestions tab: separate suggested amounts for one-time and for recurring giving.

The Options tab holds extras such as the label for the donor's notes field. For what these choices mean to a donor, see Donation form.

When you are done, click Save and publish. The offering's page appears at /donate/<campaign>/<offering>.

note

The tab and field names above are typical of an N3O-built site; yours may differ slightly.
